Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman, an American gymnast, was a member of both the Fierce 5 2012 and Final Five 2016 US Women's Olympic gymnastics teams. In 2012 her year, she received gold for team events along with the floor exercises. When it came to the balance beam Raisman earned a bronze. She was the first Olympic gymnast with the most medals. In the 2016 Olympics she took home a gold medal in the team event. This earned her and her teammate Gabby Douglas the distinction of having being the first Americans to win back-to-back gold medals for the team. In addition, she won two silver medals for her floor exercise as well as the individual all-around. The break was for three years between each Olympics from competing gymnastics. She was also a part of the gold-winning American teams at 2 World Championships. Her favorite event is the floor exercise. She started learning gymnastics at the age of two years older. Aly is a member of the Uniting Against Lung Cancer group in memory of her grandma. Aly plans on pursuing the field of fashion, and would like to expand her signature line of leotards and socks in future. Fierce, a new book she is working on will come out later this year.
